Litter Picking Legends

Updated: Jun 8, 2022

Girlguiding Cornwall's County Commissioner challenged all our members to do something for their local communities during May 2022, and as we're always up for a challenge that involves earning a badge, members all across the county took part!

Units the length and breadth of the county took part, cleaning beaches, parks, streets and any other part of our beautiful countryside and towns. Some groups used their weekly meeting to get out and about, others organised special events for their District or Division.

Hundreds of members took part, and cleared a huge amount of litter which was then safely disposed of. Even those who ended up litter picking in the rain did so with a smile on their face as you can see from the gallery below!

A big thank you to Clean Cornwall partnered with Biffa and many local organisations who lent out equipment and supported many litter picks.

Well done Girlguiding Cornwall, you really are Litter Picking Legends!
