Girls and volunteers can trek abroad with their local unit, join an international social action project or represent girls at a global seminar. We have opportunities big, small and suitable for all ages – including lots of life-changing opportunities for volunteers. Get exploring the world with Girlguiding.

I.C.E. Trip to Belgium
2025
My trip to Belgium included a service project, cleaning the graves at Bedford House Cemetery. I really enjoyed this because I read all the different names on the headstones, which made me wonder what their story was. I went to a care home and sang songs and made origami peace cranes with the residents. I also visited a museum and went to the local town to buy Belgium chocolates, which were delicious!
My favourite part of the trip was being chosen to lay the wreath, with two other Guides, at the Menin Gate, Last Post Ceremony.
The final day was spent at a theme park, enjoying all the fast rides and creating more memories with my new friends that I had made on the trip.

India Trip
October 2025
An experience full of laughter, adventure, making new friends and visiting Sangam, one of the five WAGGGS World Centres. Sangam is a beautiful place that I feel so lucky to have been able to visit.
We participated in a community project and we were able to visit many historic sites, including the Taj Mahal, the Gateway of India, the Red Fort and Jaipur. It was great to meet people from the community and take part in local culture during the stay.
I would recommend this trip to anyone. It was full of so many wonderful experiences and I made friends and shared moments of joy and laughter with them - exactly what Girlguiding is about.

Interrailing Trip
2024
Being part of Team Interrail 2024 was amazing! It built my confidence and I made amazing memories and great friends.
We did loads of different activities but some of my favourites were: the Berlin Olympic stadium, the museum of illusions, making our own chocolate bars, and staying a night at Our Chalet.

Norfolk International Jamboree
My international experience has been great! Whilst at Norfolk Jamboree (NORJAM) I enjoyed getting to try new things that I hadn't before from crafts like swing-bracelets and glass etching to activities like axe-throwing, bungee jumping and roller skating. There were many different 'filler' activities during the day that you could do between the main events and activities like badges to earn, stalls to visit or a badge swap station to meet new people. I especially enjoyed getting to do it all with my sister and friends as it made the memories even more special!
After NORJAM we went to London as a part of our INTOPS experience which I enjoyed getting to see my first ever West End show 'Six the musical' and staying at Pax Lodge, one of the World Centre. I really enjoyed the trip and will treasure the memories made.
