Last week Mylor Brownies were delighted to visit the Mylor Community Garden, 2 years after our previous visit was cancelled due to covid.
The girls were greeted by Julie and Sian who run the community garden, they started with being taught about pricking out and repotting plants as they grow. Each got to prick out sweet peppers and chilli's then plant carrots, nasturtiums and mange tout which once grown will be entered to the village show in July.
Each girl also got to repot a pansie and decorate the pot with tissue paper as a gift for their mum for mothers day next weekend.
As it got dark we moved inside for a biscuit which gave the girls the chance to look at the Cross of St Piran which both Julie and Sian had recently received for their work in setting up and running the community garden.
