Paddle boarding sessions are available to Girlguiding groups and non-member groups. There are 10 spaces per session, with a maximum of 20 participants at Condurro when 45 minute sessions are run back-to-back. Larger groups may be split into two sessions. The paddle boarding ratio is 1 instructor to 8 participants, with a minimum of two adults present. Two instructors will be in the water during sessions. Adults may take part in the activity, provided they are included in the participant numbers. For water activities, confidence in the water is more important than the ability to swim a specific distance. Leaders must assess swimming ability and water confidence and inform the instructor of any concerns. Where participants have low water confidence, this should be included in the risk assessment and supervision ratios may need to be adjusted. If anyone needs to be assisted back onto a SUP by the instructor, they should have the confidence to remain in the water until rescued. The Health and Safety Risk Assessment can be downloaded here:​

No previous paddle boarding experience is required. Sessions are suitable for beginners and are led by qualified instructors who will provide guidance and support throughout. Participants should feel comfortable remaining in the water if assistance is required. Anyone taking part must be able to carry their board and paddle to and from the water’s edge.

There are 12 O' Shea inflatable paddleboards ​(4 X 10'6" and 8 10'2") all with adjustable paddles, leash and quick release waist belts. There are 2 manual pumps and 2 electric pumps for inflating the paddle boards.

All paddle boarding equipment is provided, including boards, paddles, leashes, pumps and buoyancy aids. Groups must arrive at least 30 minutes before the session start time to help inflate the boards. Participants should wear suitable water-based clothing, such as: A swimsuit or wetsuit Spray top Wet shoes Alternatively, tracksuit bottoms, a synthetic fleece top, and an old cagoule are suitable. Clothing made from natural fibres, such as wool, should be avoided. A plastic bag for wet and muddy clothes is recommended. Glasses retainers and waterproof phone cases are available to borrow, but personal items are brought at the owner’s risk.

Sessions are run at the instructor’s discretion and are dependent on suitable weather, wind, tide and water conditions. Flexibility with location and timing is recommended, particularly for off-site bookings.  All sessions are subject to suitable weather and water conditions, and the instructor’s decision is final. Leaders are encouraged to have a backup plan in place in case a session is cancelled or shortened.

Polkerris Beach Par Beach Porthpean Beach Loe Beach Falmouth Helford River If you are not using the Paddleboards at Condurro, it is recommended that if you can be flexible on your exact location at time of booking, you are more likely for your session to go ahead. Weather conditions need to be calm, with very little wind (below 10mph) or strong current or tide. As weather conditions can change, it helps if you can also change location last minute.
