What is DofE?
Girlguiding has joined forces with the Duke of Edinburgh's award (DofE) so you can complete this
fantastic challenge as part of your guiding experience!
DofE is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of activities open to everyone aged 14 to 24.
Why do DofE with Girlguiding Cornwall?
For the hundreds of thousands of young people who take part each year, the benefits of
achieving a DofE Award at any level are endless. DofE is about helping you along the path
to a productive and prosperous future. As many of participants say, it’s life-changing.
Activities within the DofE programme can also be matched with those you are already doing
in guiding so you can get more than one award for the challenges that you complete, for
example the Queen’s Guide award. Additionally, the groups are smaller and there is a more
personal approach.
Volunteering with Girlguiding as part of your DofE
You can become a young external volunteer for Girlguiding and do your volunteering section of your Duke of Edinburgh’s Award with us.
Volunteering with us is a fantastic way to build confidence and grow skills whilst working on your Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. You can make a difference in the lives of girls however long you volunteer with us.
