Whether or not you have ever been ‘in Guiding’, it’s never too late to join us and enjoy fun and friendship with us.
The aims of Trefoil Guiding are to keep alive the spirit of the Guide Promise and Law and this is how we do it.
We have fun and make friends
Each Guild is different and devises its own programme of activities each year. We have speakers on a multitude of fascinating topics, visit places of interest, enjoy the out of doors, see shows and eat a lot!
We carry the spirit of Girlguiding and Scouting to the community where we live
We offer practical help to Girlguiding Cornwall by helping with events and craft sessions, providing Starter Packs for new units, running depots, badge testing and offering emergency help at meetings. You could share your skills in so many ways, perhaps by helping with outdoor activities or by becoming a mentor or administrator.
We can also challenge ourselves to do something different by taking part in Girlguiding’s Voyage Award or the Dark Horse Venture Award Scheme (a sort of D of E award for the over fifties), which has encouraged and enabled thousands of older people to take up exciting new interests, hobbies, activities and studies. Many of our members have been awarded with special certificates for their achievements.
There are opportunities to link up with other members at the National and Region AGMs and we also hold our own AGM with an interesting speaker- so do find out more and come along and join us.
There are fifteen Trefoil Guilds throughout Cornwall with a membership of over two hundred. We have Guilds in:
Helston St Austell
Kerrier Torpoint & Rame
