A few weeks ago St Breward Guides, Camelford District Rangers and Young Leaders and Jacobstow Guides held a Curry Night fundraiser.
We held the evening to raise funds for our trip to Windsor International Guide & Scout Jamboree (WINGS) in August. This is an International camp for both Guides & Scouts with around 6,000 participants. The money we raised is going towards our travel costs and our own special uniform for the event.
We sold 96 tickets to the event where people were given a starter of poppadoms and pickles, a curry of their choice, a dessert to follow then a tea or coffee. We finished the evening with a quiz, which all seemed to enjoy. To make our evening all the more authentic we all wore saris or traditional Indian attire.
It was a busy but fun evening and well worth the effort as we raised over £1,000 with all our efforts.
